Hi Everyone!! I am glad to be here. I have just finished reading Real Happiness to the end of Week One.....and it really just made me stop and take a breath. I have really been feeling stuck and not sitting as much. That was helpful....such a great reminder....Breathing and the Art of Starting Over. So practical, helpful, easy to understand and follow.
I had to laugh at myself when I read about the mini-meditations throughout the day. For quite a while I have had a mindfulness bell downloaded on my computer at work....always on....set to sound at different times of the day....as a reminder to stop.....take three breaths....bring myself back to right now...and continue with my day. I don't remember when I turned down the sound and forgot to turn it back up.
Work has been so busy....one thing after another or, on top of each other...trying to keep up....so much going on. Even when I first came to this website....which was two days ago and I was looking around and my thoughts were fast and furious.....wow...I am such a beginner....what do I have to contribute...and on it went....the same old storyline....the same thoughts....and I sat back for a moment....took a breath....said hello to my story....smiled and said "Breathe, you are here.
I am so grateful to be here and share in this community. Looking forward to the next 28 days!
