Joanna and I are very excited to be a part of Sharon's 28 day meditation challenge! We have become a part of a growing community of parents who have incorporated meditation and mindfulness into our lives, and into the lives of our children.
Incorporating mini-meditations and mindful moments into my day has really made a huge difference in my life. The hardest part of this 28 day challenge will be finding the self-discipline to make the time for myself every day to get that meditation in! As Sharon says, it is not only important to understand the concepts in Real Happiness, but it is crucial to actually do the work to see real results! In many ways it is just like my old Jane Fonda workout videos. From those videos I learned that change does not come easily. I tried taking the easy route and sat through many workout videos and infomercials promising a whole new body, thinking how interesting and great the concepts were that they were demonstrating on how to reshape my thighs, only to face the reality that I actually had to get off the couch and do the work to see results. The nice part about Real Happiness is that I can get results right on the couch! So, here's to February 1st! I am ready to get meditating and looking forward to sharing my experience with all of you.
